ANNOTATION

“I DREAMED THIS THEATRE UP…”

E.Yu.Sazonov

R&S, 2002, v.6, N 2, p. 3-9.

Keywords: M.G.Dubrovin, TYUT, youth theatre, children, theatre as a mean of education, methodic, Magical Circle Pedagogy, Happiness.

The head of Youth Creative Theatre tells a story about his meeting with the founder of YCT – M.G. Dubrovin, about the years of their joint work and life on the “island of happiness”, and elaborates on the Dubrovin’s pedagogical phenomenon, called by his followers Magical Circle Pedagogy. The concept of this methodic is the inherent lack of hierarchy, the equity of all the artistic components of a theatre and the obligatory participation of all the members of a theatre not only in the producing and playing, but also in the setting (creating and building up decorations, creating dressings, make-up etc.). By using such a methodic the theatre becomes a mean of educating a creative personality and creates an atmosphere in the staff which is named simply Happiness. Those of Dubrovin’s pupils who stayed in the YCT still use this methodic while working with children, and hence the YCT still lives, develops and is preparing to celebrate its 50-th anniversary.

A.S.Valyavskiy

R&S, 2002, v.6, N 2, p. 26-28.

Keywords: necessary and sufficient variety, environment: external and internal, education, rejuvenation; channel requirements: openness, developness, independence, correlation, stability, knowledge, coherence, consciousness; exercise requirements: intensity, frequency, simplicity, effectiveness; systems of: desires, beliefs, actions.

The law of necessary and sufficient variety (LNSV) is the law of education and rejuvenation, the law of adaptation to reality by increasing the variety level of both external and internal environment. LNSV dictates requirements to the input, processing and output channels of information, and to the educative and refreshing exercises, which, being a time-distributed system, may be very simple and effective. A system’s adaptation to reality can be sped up by consciously harmonizing the systems of desires, beliefs and actions.
